Type of shelf life date for the product:

sell-by : the product needs to be sold no later than the date printed on the packaging.
use-by : the product needs to be consumed no later than the date printed on the packaging.
best-before: the product can be sold or consumed after the date printed on the packaging.

A consommer avant = use-by (la vente n'est plus non plus possible après cette date)
A consommer de préférence avant = best-before
