I've created this parameter in order to trace products which are literally the same thing but sold under different labels, usually through the practice of private labelling.
If it's possible I would add the property to the "private labelled" product, linking it to the product produced by the manufacturer and sold under their own brand, using its barcode as a parameter
for example
The product choco crusties
https://world.openfoodfacts.org/product/8019730030371/choco-crusties-manu-sol
is actually produced by the manufaturer Fuchs and sold under own brand and named Choco crumpies
https://world.openfoodfacts.org/product/8009361055089/cereali-choco-crumpies-venosta
same form, same nutritional value, most proably same formulation, ingredients, machinery, possibly different prices.
Under the product choco crusties I add a folksonomy property "same_product" with value 8009361055089
As simple as that
