Missions
Hunger Games
To complete the products (adding the weight, the brand, the labels) without having to do everything manually, you can play with the AI project of OFF (robotoff). It is like a game, you are asked to confirm the detected weight or brand or labels: https://hunger.openfoodfacts.org/questions?type=label&country=nl%3Anetherlands
Complete basic information for all possible products
- the name: https://nl.openfoodfacts.org/state/en:product-name-to-be-completed
- the brand: https://nl.openfoodfacts.org/state/en:brands-to-be-completed
Here is the list of all brands found in the Netherlands: https://nl.openfoodfacts.org/brands
- and, to complete more missing information: https://nl.openfoodfacts.org/states
Review the quality issues
Sometimes the energy in kcal is greater than the one in kJ, which is impossible.
Sometimes the nutriscore written on the package is different than the one calculated by OpenFoodFacts.
Sometimes the weights is unexpectedly large.
All these suspicious findings are tagged. Find the tags list in the following page: https://world.openfoodfacts.org/data-quality
Read also the dedicated page about quality: Quality
Add missing ingredients in the taxonomies
Missing ingredients (the one in blue when clicking on "Details of the analysis of the ingredients") can be added in the ingredients.txt file (be careful: vitamins, additives, ... have their own files) in the taxonomies folder, in the https://github.com/openfoodfacts/openfoodfacts-server repository (you have to clone, create a new branch, apply changes, add, commit, push, make a pull request).
Some more details about taxonomies: Global taxonomies
To find products with missing ingredients, you can use the states: https://nl.openfoodfacts.org/states. And also combine the states filters: https://nl.openfoodfacts.org/search?states_tags=en:ingredients-to-be-completed,en:Ingredients%20photo%20selected (this example filters products where the ingredients photo has been selected but where the ingredients list is missing).
