Community federation and gamification

Summary

This project aims to make an effective community platform based on areas of interest. This will allow contributors in the form of members of different groups to contribute more and easily.

Impact (why)

Allow contributors to coordinate their efforts on an area of interest.
Make their contributions effective, by giving them useful tools to monitor changes and improve quality.
Make their effort visible and show them gratitude.
Create bounding between contributors
Help contributors discover new tools and help each other

Expected outcomes (what)

A portal where people can create a group around an area of interest:

Groups are public, People can join a group to show their interest
In each group there is a dashboard showing information that helps contribution and moderation to be effective.
A gamification system gives badges according to tasks successfully accomplished.
Eventually the portal point to some of its member conversations (eg forum thread with a specific tag) .
